"A world divided between noise and delirium. That's how Guilherme Dearo structures 'Two Hypotheses for an Event,' his debut in poetry. Without a safety net, the author hints from the start that we are about to plunge into sacred ground. And he threatens: 'You will be bored / for you will already know your destiny / and all non-love.' Don't overlook these verses. From then on, noise and delirium will unfold in a devastating way. Guilherme does this with the genius of someone who knows exactly what he is plotting, in a masterful dive. And he states that 'life ends where it happens.' In general, it's a book about time. After all, where were we that we didn't realize that 'time and the day before were / answers / their perfumes / the mind in its place / happiness'? Be prepared. Because talking about time, we know, is also exposing its potential. And Guilherme understood, of course, that in..." At the heart of the matter is death, which creeps stealthily between the lines of this volume. Although this journey does not seem peaceful, the final poems are optimistic in their melancholy.
